THE CLEANING METHOD X OF BIRD NEST REVEALED..

It's me showing the different between of bird's nest and fungus that usually confuse the consumer during the factory inspection by the Veterinary Department Malaysia..

Dear friends,

Recently, the news of  Red Bird Nest (blood nest ) in China are as hot as pancake. Was understand that the government of China is concern on the Red Bird Nest that are selling in mainland. The main reason of them ban the selling of Edible Bird Nest is due to the high contain of Nitrite. I am not very sure why nitrite can be reason, because it was widely use in meats, as preservative.  More information of nitrite, click at the link below.

Today, i am going to share with you the cleaning method of raw bird nest, by some of the not responsible or, i call them 'cruel business people' . This method is cost budgeting and fast.  I call it Method X.

Enjoy~

RAW BIRD NEST. WHITE NEST AND DIRTY NEST

DIRTY NEST COLOUR IS NOT ATTRACTIVE

IF U SEE CAREFULLY, THERE ARE BLACK SPOT AND FUR
Usually, this kind of RAW nest are reject stock, and will be selling cheap. Because it is hard to clean with hand and water only. So, they will be selling cheap and the 'cruel business people' will love to buy. Next, you will see how they manage the nest.

The chemical line up~

First, take a clean bowl

Pour in some water and the 'cement' powder.
'CEMENT' POWDER : The source do not reveal the real name of this powder. But was understand that this is consumable and use only in food industry. This powder will soften the bird nest and the impurities + fur + black spot will divided and float.

Remember this colour :)

This area is impossible to clean by hand~

Let the show start~

First 5 mins

10 mins

15mins, it start to have small bubble

20 mins :He removing the fur

And lightly shake the nest, the fur float and look at the colour of the water

30 mins later
   TADAA~

Step 1 completed..
 STEP 2 - BLEACHING

Have you heard of people saying bird nest bleaching? NO? YES? NOT SURE? Here, i show you..

RInse the bird nest and the 'cement powder'

See, look clean.. But, still not perfect. Nobody will buy this kind of bird nest.. Consumer want white nest

So, add on Bleaching Liquid
During this step, i was like, OMG.. The smell is terrible..
And once again, he told me that this 'bleaching agent' is applicable in food industry.

See, the bubble.. "remind me of OxyMask" lol

10mins later

15 mins

20 mins

and finally done.. the bleaching step. he took out and rinse with water again

Remember i told you the smell of the bleaching agent? After rinse off with water, the smell lost.

Me: Are them going to sell the bird nest with no smell?
Him : No. Bird nest that undergo this method have no nutrient and smell. Usually consumer buying bird nest judging by smell. So, will put a drop of bird nest 'fragrance'.
Me: Huh? What is that??
Him : This is the Bird Nest Fluid. To create the smell..

A drop

And this is to create the size

After drying

* Please note that not all the bird nest in the market undergo this method. This is an alternative method that are fast, convenient and cost saving. So, beware when buying bird nest.

* Original bird nest are transparent. And smell exactly like white egg.

Why some businessman do not use the traditional method?

1. Labour Cost High - Lack of professional nowaday.
2. Very Slow - Using method X, 1 day can clean up to 20kg of bird nest. But traditional way, 1 person can only clean up to 1.5kg/month.

Traditional Method of Bird Nest Cleaning
I am now working on ' fake and real' bird nest article. Stay tune~

1.As for this moment, if you are going to buy bird nest, ask for  their company products lab test report.

2.Do not buy very white colour bird nest (white as A4 paper). Smell like ginseng.
Original bird nest is half transparent and smell like white egg.

3.Order/buy from me..lol joking..
I recommend you Prince Chen Bird's Nest (100% made in Malaysia).

Hope you guys enjoy my post today.
